The active fiber optic cable is used to connect a HDMI signal source to a monitor / television located up to 50 meters away. The cable supports the HDMI 2.0 standard (18 Gbps bandwidth). It has a small diameter (4.5 mm) and does not require an external power supply (is powered from the HDMI port).
